EOTD using BFTE Riddle and Gem

Today I did a look using my new BFTE samples. I used Gem and Riddle. I finally got Riddle to open but almost the majority of the sample spilled out onto my desk and I was unable to salvage it. :-( I did still get to try the little bit that was left in the jar and I intend to purchase a full size of this color as I LOVE it so much! 

So this is a really simple look because I was short on time. Riddle on the inner corner, with Gem on the outer corner over NYX eyeshadow base. Please be kind if you comment...my skills are not up to comparison with many of the other beauty bloggers out there. :-)

BFTE Gem

Jordana dark blue pencil liner

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

Simple, pretty, quick. I love mornings like this! I was so afraid it was too simple and wouldn't work but I really like it.

Mail Call!

So my BFTE samples arrived today. It's my first mineral makeup order, my first sample order and my first BFTE order all rolled into one happy mail day!


I ordered:
Nebula - "Shimmer dark brown toned Forest green This color is an unblended pigment, please read our FAQ page for more information." 


1939 - "Dark green with black undertones and green sparkles." This is sooooo much prettier in person!!!!


Riddle - "Sheer bronze with gold shimmer" Another GORGEOUS color!


Isis - "Low-shimmer Blackened blood red, with red-bronze under tones. This color is an unblended pigment, please read our FAQ page for more information."


Deep Thoughts - "Shimmery olive green with a brown undertone and lighter green sparkle"


Dew Drops - "Pinkish purple with greenish gold duochrome." I'm in love with this color.


Tropical - "Nearly matte true Jungle Green with a surprising blue over tone"


Livid - "Darker violet purple."


Pegasus - "Green with gold duotone. Part of the 2009 Fall Collection" My favorite of the whole order!


Love Potion - "Midtone to deep purple with fine silver sparkle."


Vamp - "Deep wine red with copper sparkles."


Unicorn - "Purple with silver sheen" Another that looks prettier in person!


Big Ego didn't have a description but it is a vibrant medium to dark purple with fuschia sparkle and unless my eyes deceive me, a hint of blue sparkle too!


I recieved Gem as a free sample as well!


I haven't had a chance to take pictures yet or do swatches but I will later today or tonight after The Squish (my son) goes to bed or down for a nap. I just wanted to share some glee over Mail Day! I have five more packages on the way this week. Two TKB orders, a Cherry Culture order, a Sassy Minerals sample order, and an Ulta order. This is gonna be a great week!! Plus hopefully some swatches of some stuff I received a while back that I've never seen swatched on the net before. At the end of the month hopefully I'll be placing a Beauties Factory order and get some swatches up of that too!

A Start

Hi, I'm Kat and I'm fairly new to mineral makeup. In fact, I just ordered my first loose mineral eyeshadows earlier today from Beauty From The Earth and Sassy Minerals.

 I have been following a lot of beauty bloggers over the last year and have recently decided to start my own blog which I hope to be able to keep up on. I plan to post at least once a week with swatches, reviews, LOTD/NOTD/EOTD's etc but hope to post more often. However, with life outside the internet being what it is, I may not be able to. I have a one year old son and hope soon to be employed as well. However I will try to make time once a week to post here, and I hope soon to have some readers who will be interested in my posts about drugstore makeup, mineral makeup (and my learning experience with it), nail polish, etc. with a few random rainbow posts here and there when I find something rainbow-tastic! I adore rainbows!
